The healing stream is a frequency of energy that comes from the divine source. Anyone can do spiritual healing and energy healing simply by asking to connect with the divine energies of the healing stream. The first thing that you need to do is get yourself a good compass and determine what is in the southeastern corner of your home. The Southeastern sector of your home governs both your cash flow as well as your faith in the idea that you will always be able to create money.

According to the classic and traditional rules of Feng Shui (the ancient art of object placement to increase good energy in your life) the items that you place in this part of your should be things that align with the energies of personal abundance.

Things that Create Prosperity:

The colors purple, red and green. These three colors support prosperity energy in a space. A pleasant still life to attract this energy is a pretty glass bowl containing a purple amethyst, a red carnelian and a green piece of jade. You also might want to consider painting this corner one of these colors or using purple, red and green lighting in this corner. Sex magick means using your sexuality in order to work magick. This technique is not new nor outrageous; although usually kept secret many esoteric systems use sexuality for spiritual and magical aims. Examples of such traditions are witchcraft, shamanism, alchemy, Buddhist and Hinduist tantra and ancient Egyptian religion. A probably more known form of sex magick is the ceremonial sexual union of man and woman on the land to ensure a good crop. Their fertility act should encourage the land to deliver a rich harvest. Western sex magick has its roots in Hebrew kabbalah and is spread further through several occult doctrines like the knights Templar and the free masons. Nowadays sex magick is a beautiful way of giving sex back its rightful place of sacred sexuality. It is a firm invitation to leave the trail of the sneaky, hidden-in-the-dark and 'sinful' sex most of us have grown up with. It is a call to stop fighting this most powerful human force and to make use of its possibilities. Since sexuality is a gift from God/the Goddess it has to be divine. Within an open and respectful sexual relationship we can experience ourselves in all our aspects: the animal part, the human part and the divine flame within. Thus the beast-man-God is connected, as well as the beast-woman-Goddess. During sexual arousal an enormous amount of energy can be channeled upwards from the genitals along the spine to the top of the head. On its way up this energy fills and cleans blockages in the chakras, caused by emotional and psychological wounds. This explains why several spiritual paths view sexual yoga as a shortcut to enlightenment.

Why use sex for magical aims?
Simply because the creative force itself creates very powerful magick. Secondly because it is the most pleasurable magick one can do. The strong sexual force is the 'raw oil of our body' as Lama Yeshe stated. Several practitioners of sex magick reported that this form of magick turned out to be much stronger then the ceremonial magick they had practiced before. Sex magick does not require previous knowledge of ceremonial magick. Anyone who is dedicated to controlling and directing his or her sexual energies for magickal work, and who has a reasonable physical condition, is able to perform sex magick.

However, if you don't feel attracted to sex magick simply don't do it! And never let someone force you into sex magick against your will.

Practicing sex magick neither implies that you have to give up sex for pleasure. It is up to you to decide how much sex you wish to use for magical rituals and how much for purely having a good time with yourself or your partner.

What is the theory behind sex magick?
In magick we manipulate a certain amount of energy into a desired direction; for that we specify a goal, raise energy and point it into the wished direction (release the energy) to achieve a manifestation in our physical reality. In sex magick we basically focus on a goal by affirmation, visualization etc.; we raise much energy through prolonged sexual arousal and we release the energy at the moment of orgasm. The goal in sex magick can be the achievement or attraction of anything wished in the physical world, like a new house, a better relationship or a healing. It can also be the charging of magickal tools or talismans. And the goal can be spiritual development.
This controlled form of love-making for higher purposes is often mentioned as the ultimate explanation of Crowley's famous statement "Love is the Law, Love under Will." By love Crowley meant the uniting of the opposites masculine and feminine, active and receptive, and not so much romantic love. Orgasm is considered to be the moment when 'the gates of heaven open up'; for a while the barriers between the restricted physical world and the limitless heavens dissolve. During the precious orgasmic moments we swing away our magical desire into the universe with enormous power and a 'magickal child' is born. This magickal child is the astral effect of our magical action that will result in manifestation. The sexual fluids of man and woman are charged with powerful qualities because of their magick and they can be used for several purposes.

What types of sex can be used for sex magick?
In fact any sexual activity can be used to work sex magick. It can be practiced alone, it can be practiced with a partner of the same sex or of the opposite sex, and in advanced sex magick it is also possible to work with more people. But: a group sex magick ritual is never an excuse for a sexual orgy! It is a strong ritual in which several people dedicate their sexual forces towards a mutual goal. Magick is synergistic, what means that the power conjured up is geometric (1,2,4,8,16, etc., so a ritual with four people gives the energy of eight separate people!) Please remember that in no way this is an invitation to ever do a group ritual in your life unwanted, nor does it mean that joining a group ritual implies that you should also have sex with more than one partner in your personal love life. You can include all forms of sex in your ritual; it can be genital, oral or anal sex; it can be bondage, bizarre sex or whatever; as long as all partners included enjoy it and agree it's okay.

Does sex magick feel different from regular sex?
In sex magick we concentrate on the ritual, while in regular sex we concentrate on the fantastic physical sensations and intimate togetherness. Sex magick rituals feel very pleasurable but they do feel different. They are simply intenser. A much greater amount of sexual energy is built up due to mainly two reasons:

* When you reach the brink of orgasm you back off to later on resume arousing. This leads to a stronger felt orgasm.
* While repeating the chosen affirmation during intercourse you send up energy from the genitals to the head, so you constantly send bits of genital excitement 'away' upwards along your spine to be stored till the moment of orgasm. By concentrating on your goal you extend the moment of orgasm and reach some sort of trance.

Sometimes I notice that halfway the ritual I can already feel the magical energy working. I feel a large amount of hot energy along my spine and the chakras in my head, while the crown chakra feels like a wide opened chalice or lotus flower. The energy can cause big shiverings or emotional unloads like crying, mostly after orgasm (be prepared for this and let it happen to yourself or your partner, it clears blockages). Sex magick orgasms will be intense. And after a ritual with a partner I feel reverent and grateful, realizing that we have shared something truly meaningful. Once you know the depths and values of sex magick I wonder if a partner who would prefer to stick to 'normal' sex could any longer satisfy your needs.

What about safe sex?
I have never heard of anyone who liked condoms, but they do have their effect on preventing sexual transferrable diseases. So in case you do magick with a partner you're not sure of his/her physical sexual health, or in case you have several partners or alternating partners - do yourself a favour and use a rubber (with favour). Please also be very careful with oral sex in case you or your partner have a bleeding wound or an ulcer in the mouth or on the genital area, or in case of an unusual looking or smelling sexual fluid. Take care of your body and see a doctor. Several sex magick authors emphasize the importance of the mingling of male and female sexual fluids; in case you have a partner who carries no sexual transferrable disease it is great to (also) physically mingle sexual fluids; but in case you're not sure please know that magick goes beyond matter, what means that on astral level sexual fluids are mingled anyway, condom or not.

Introduction: With some deft computer astrology, mythic Krishna gets a date of birth, and some planetary influence

Even gods come to earth with their destinies chalked out for them. So claims astrology, at any rate.

So when Arun K. Bansal, the father of computer astrology in India, says that Hindu god Krishna was born on July 21, 3228 BC, it feels momentous somehow. The date essentially transforms Krishna in our minds: from a mythological figure of mystery, even if a much-loved one, into well a flesh and blood entity. You can almost see him gurgling in Yashoda's lap as Rishi Garg performs his naming ceremony in a cow shed more than 50 centuries ago.

But backtracking into the past can be a sloppy misadventure if you don't get your calculations right. So Bansal rests his claims on two of his software packages-the Leo Gold and the Palm computer programmes. They can simulate any planetary configuration that has occurred or could occur in time.

All they need is a date. And July 21, 3228 bc, according to Bansal, satisfies every condition described during Krishna's birth.

Krishna was born in the Rohini nakshatra, in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada, on the 8th day of the waning moon at midnight. Bansal says this was enough information for him to nail the date, working backwards from Krishna's death, which he says occurred at 2 pm on February 18, 3102 BC.

His entire case rests on the accuracy of this date, however. Bansal quotes extensively from the Shrimad Bhagwat and the Shri Vishnu Puranas, old Hindu calendars and the Mahabharata to illuminate the clues he chose to follow. "A shloka in the 38th chapter of the Shri Vishnu Puran, says that Kaliyuga started on the day Krishna died." He unearths another shloka in the Shrimad Bhagwat Purana (part 11, chapter 6) where Brahma himself speaks to Krishna about how old he is. "Brahma says that 125 years have passed since Krishna's birth; this is just before Krishna plans his death."

Though not empirically verifiable, the advent of Kaliyuga is traditionally taken to be 3102 bc, because all our panchangas or astrological journals maintain that 5,100 years of Kaliyuga had passed before 1999 AD. The belief is supported by mathematician Aryabhatta's astronomy treatise Aryabhattiya, the Surya Siddhanta, an astronomical text that dates back to 400 AD, and a 5th century inscription from a temple in Aihole.

Deleting 125 years from the date, Bansal figured Krishna was born either in 3327 or 3228 BC. The rest he left up to his software, merely feeding in the planetary configuration that Krishna was supposedly born under, to generate the row of figures that conforms to the epochal moment.

Would astrology have thrown any light on what such an individual may have been like? Outlook asked Bansal to create a birth chart based on the date. His computer churns out 15 pages sectioned under tantalising headings like Love & Romance, Appearance, Personality, and Journeys. With Saturn in his seventh house, he would have been fated to court many women-enter Radha, the gopis and later his 16,108 wives. But since the seventh house was also under the sign of Scorpio, which guarantees a joyful marital life, he'd also have had the power to keep them happy despite having to divide his attentions among them.

An attractive appearance and personality would have come from the exalted moon under the sign of Taurus. Jupiter and the exalted Mercury in the fifth house will have conferred intelligence and oratory skills. Fame and power would have come from Ketu in the 9th house, though it would also have forced him to lead a life away from his birthplace.

Certainly stray statements do conform eerily to Krishna's attributed qualities. "Endowed with a glowing complexion, you have bright eyes and an enchanting smile." Under personality comes-"You have great fancy for music, moonlight and money".

Even the Bhagwad Gita seems to have its origin in his birth chart; it predicts that a person born under this astral spread would have been a great believer in karma who would advise others about karma and noble deeds.

But there are a few adverse planetary configurations to contend with. The chart describes a life of continuous strife, peppered with battles and wars because Rahu, Mars and Venus are in the third house. Due to the location of Jupiter in Leo, he would also have been destined to be estranged from his mother-or mothers in his case.

With plans to announce the results of his research at the Somnath temple during this year's Janmashtami festival for Krishna's birthday, Bansal says that even the temple's priests concur with his findings. "Another pandit, Shri Gyananda Saraswati in Benaras, who will come to the celebration in Somnath, has also come up with the same dates."

At peace with his research, Bansal prefers to turn a blind eye to the long, long line of astrologers, godmen, NASA scientists, mathematicians and writers stretching all the way back to Aryabhatta who have worked on the same thing. They all quote the same scriptures, taking into account some or all of the astral happenings recorded in great detail, especially the ones during the calamitous time of the Mahabharata war, when Krishna was said to have been 90 years old. These include rare astronomical happenings like the solar and lunar eclipse that occurred consecutively in the space of a month just before the war, a fortnight that lasted only for 13 days instead of 15 when the moon was waning, and a comet that burned through the skies. Also, the planetary positions recorded during the Mahabharata war were roughly replicated 36 years later, when Krishna died.

Most scholars prefer to concentrate on the Mahabharata war where a significant cluster of astronomical events occurred, before zooming onto their own set of dates that binds down the life of the eighth avatar of Vishnu in a specific time-frame. But the dates, while drawn from the same source, strain in opposite directions.

At a colloquium organised by the Mythic Society in Bangalore in January last year, dates as wide as 1478 BC to 3067 BC were proposed. Contributors included S. Balakrishna (from NASA, US), using Lodestar Pro software, who proposed 2559 bc as the start of the war. Prof R.N. Iyengar (from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) brought the event closer historically, suggesting the date 1478 bc, while B.N. Narahari Achar (Department of Physics, University of Memphis, US) after "critically examining" the astronomical events in the Mahabharata pointed to 3067 BC.

Authors like P.V. Vartak push back the date of the Mahabharata much further, to 5561 BC. Swami Prakashanand Saraswati, in his book, The True History and the Religion of India, comes up with the same dates as Bansal does.

Considering that there are 150 astronomical references provided about the characters and events in the Mahabharata in one lakh-odd shlokas, there is little consensus on what information is worth concentrating on. In addition, there is reason to believe that our scriptures "grew" over time, incorporating events of every period. So there is precious little we can attribute collectively to one age. Many scholars in fact wonder if all the references to Krishna in the scriptures refer to one person or whether the Krishna of Vrindavan and the Krishna of the Mahabharata are two different people. But then searching for that mythical date wouldn't be half as engaging if the process weren't so complicated. Any wonder that even though the gods have destinies, they prefer we view them through fogged glasses?

About Baba: The birth and parentage of Sai Baba are wrapped in mystery. Many authors and scholars conclude from various proofs that Baba was born in 1838 in a Brahmin family at village Pathri in District Parabhani, Maharastra State,India. The Brahmin parents handed over the tender child to the care of a fakir who in turn passed on the young child to a saintly person namely Gopal Rao Deshmukh--an ardent worshipper of Lord Venkateswara.

In the Old Testament, the founder of the Jewish nation and one of the Jewish patriarchs. In his early life he was called Abram. God promised him heirs and land for his people in Canaan (Israel), renamed him Abraham, and tested his faith by a command (later retracted) to sacrifice his son Isaac.

Still childless at the age of 76, Abraham subsequently had a son (Ishmael) with his wife's maidservant Hagar, and then, at the age of 100, a son (Isaac) with his wife Sarah. When Abraham was 99, God made a covenant with him, saying that he would be the father of many nations, and that male circumcision would be a sign of that covenant (Genesis 17:1–14). This, and the promise of land in Canaan, was fulfilled when the descendants of Abraham's grandson Jacob were led out of Egypt by Moses.

Abraham was born in Ur, Mesopotamia. With his father Terah, wife Sarah, and nephew Lot, he migrated to Haran, northern Mesopotamia, and then to Canaan, where he received God's promise of land. After visiting Egypt he separated from Lot at Bethel and settled in Hebron (now in Israel). He died at the age of 175 and was buried by Isaac and Ishmael in Machpelah Cave, Hebron.

Described in the Bible as ‘the friend of God’, Abraham is not only considered the spiritual ancestor of many (Christian as well as Hebrew), but also the ‘prophet’ through whom the divine revelation was begun. Abraham (Arabic Ibrahim) is also an important figure in Islam. Some Muslims say that the intended victim of his sacrifice was Isaac, but the accepted view is that it was Ismail (Ishmael), and that the place was near Mecca, the site of some of the ceremonies of the pilgrimage. According to Muslim tradition, Abraham and his son, Ishmael, rebuilt the Kaaba in the quadrangle of the Great Mosque at Mecca, and the horns of the ram of sacrifice were fixed to it.

Mahavira Jayanthi is the birth anniversary of Mahavira, the founder of Jainism. This is one of the main Jain festivals celebrated by the Jains in India. According to the Digambar school of Jainism, Lord Mahavira was born in the year 615 BC, but the Swetambaras believe the year to be 599 BC. Nevertheless, both the sects agree that he was the son of Siddhartha and Trisala.

According to the legend, he was born to Devananda, wife of a Brahmin named Rishabhdeva. The gods, deftly, transferred the embryo to the womb of Trisala. "Here on this seat my body may shrivel up, my skin, my bones, my flesh may dissolve, but my body will not move from this seat until I have attained Enlightenment, so difficult to obtain in the course of many kalpas".

As Gautama sat in deep meditation, Mara, Lord of Illusion, perceiving that his power was about to be broken, rushed to distract him from his purpose. The Bodhisattva touched the earth, calling it to bear witness the countless lifetimes of virtue that had led him to this place of enlightenment. When the earth shook, confirming the truth of Gautama's words, Mara unleashed his army of demons. In the epic battle that ensued, Gautama's wisdom broke through the illusions and the power of his compassion transformed the demons' weapons into flowers and Mara and all his forces fled in disarray.

Fishing Story

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went further than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price.

So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving, they were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference, because the fish did not move for days. They lost their fresh-fish taste. The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan? If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend?

Like the Japanese fish problem, the best solution is simple. It was observed by L.Ron Hubbard in the early 1950’s.
